Lanificio Paoletti presents the new Spring Summer 2017 collection

Trade shows play a key role for the business of textile manufacturers. They have a dual function: to serve as a point of reference for entrusting new business relationships and to provide a summary of new fashion trends. Naturally, Lanificio Paoletti cannot miss appointments like these. In February a new cycle of events starts, during which we will present our S/S 17 fabrics collection.

The first event we are attending this spring is the MUNICH FABRIC START trade show, taking place at the congress centre Munich Order Center, from the 2nd to the 4th of February. The expo, boasting a 30 year-long history, covers all fashion targets: the saloon’s portfolio includes womenswear, menswear, childrens wear, street and sportswear. The appeal of Munich Fabric Start is surely very strong: more than 1,000 leading companies from 35 different countries will be showcasing their products. Our stand is number 25 and is hosted inside the Fabrics section, in Atrium 4.

This year’s edition focuses on environmental sustainability. To allow a debate on the subject, the organizers created many meeting points, like the “Eco Talks”, conferences curated by experts that will introduce the latest sustainable development and eco standards novelties. Naturally, there will be a space dedicated to trends too. The expo foresees “Trend seminars”, in which new fashion trends will be analysed in detail. Furthermore, and as always, the colour forum, the Trend & Samples area and a Trend Lab will be featured for visitors.

A can’t-miss event is the PREMIÈRE VISION PARIS trade show, taking place in Paris, at the Parc d’Expositions, from the 16th to the 18th of February. Première Vision is an exclusive expo that operates by making a top quality selection and having been chosen by its commission to present our collections is, for us, a great source of pride. Our fabrics will be on show at the 5M54 stand, located in the 5M corridor of the pavilion.

During this edition, the French event will host more than 1,700 exhibitors. The Italian presence is very strong: 670 are the professionals exhibiting their creations at the expo stands. A sign, thus, of the high quality that has always characterized the Italian production. In order to offer a 360° vision, the event will also host seminars on major themes. For this edition, 3 in particular: the “Colours seminar”, the “Trends seminar” and the “Textile seminar”.

Not just Europe: for what concerns trade shows, Lanificio Paoletti looks towards the East. Japan and China are markets with which we have been dialoguing for a while and with which we feel in accord. This is why we have decided to bring our textiles to the Shanghai Intertextile – Milano Unica and Tokyo Jitac trade shows.

SHANGHAI INTERTEXTILE Apparel Fabrics is the biggest textile trade show not only in the Asian continent, but in the world. Suffice to think that more than 3,000 professionals (from 20 different countries) will be exhibiting their products at the spring 2016 edition. Since 2012, the SalonEurope section has also been hosting a pavilion dedicated to Milano Unica, famous Italian expo. MILANO UNICA proposes to the oriental clientele Italian medium-high profile companies and acts as a showcase of the innovations of the Italian textile and accessory industries. Shanghai Intertextile Apparel Fabrics is taking place from the 16th to 18th of March at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in the heart of the Chinese industrial district. Lanificio Paoletti from 1795 S/S 17 collection is on display at Stand N04 / Hall 7.2.

Japan is for us a great source of satisfaction: the country’s market is fascinated by our company. Particularly sensitive to the rediscovery of Alpago wool, and by the fabrics we developed from it. Thus, we can’t miss the TOKYO JITAC trade show, held from the 26th to the 28th of April at the Tokyo International Forum, among the most important congress centres of the peninsula. The trade show, which is held twice a year, proposes to answer the needs of different targets (importers, exporters, and suppliers) and to present the novelties in the textile field from all over the world. Inside the expo, space is given not only to fashion clothing and accessory design, but also to textile, yarns and weaving tools.

This is just a sneak preview of the initiatives featured at the textile trade shows, so keep following up!
